PURPLE KISS is back!
On March 19th at 6 p.m. KST, the RBW group returned with their latest mini-album along with a music video for its title track, “BBB.”
The track expresses discontent over being forced into conformity and celebrates the courage to be different even if the world perceives them as a villain for breaking their rules. It also explores the “what ifs” that come with this change, whether it can cause something bad or become the beginning of a beautiful new world as they try to restore color and individuality.
Suan, ZNEE, Seo Hyokyung, Lilijune, Hae Dayoung, Dr.JO, and LuvSSong wrote the lyrics while Ryan Jeon, Conran Williams-Lee, Rhett Williams-Lee, and Laura White composed the song.
PURPLE KISS’s sixth EP BXX has a total of six tracks. The name “BXX” means “Best Friends Forever” with FF replaced with XX to symbolize female friendship and loyalty. RBW hopes that through the group’s music, the public can “enjoy the free and hip energy from PURPLE KISS.”

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
