THE BOYZ returned on March 18th at 6 p.m. KST with the final part of their second album [PHANTASY] Pt.3 Love Letter and the music video for the title track, “Nectar!” The release completes the trilogy which began in August last year with Pt.1 Christmas In August and Pt.2 Sixth Sense.
“Nectar” is a medium pop song with a lyrical guitar sound that shows the deep emotional line of THE BOYZ. The energetic chorus contrasting with the melancholy introduction emphasizes the hopeful message of leaving the past behind and running toward a brilliant future and dreams.
Seasoned K-pop lyricist Jo Yoon Kyung, Chaerin of 153/Joombas and THE BOYZ member Eric wrote the song. At the same time, producers 82oom and Noah of PAPERMAKER, award-winning songwriter Kyler Niko and Joon “Distract” Choi composed the track.
The music video depicts THE BOYZ graduating high school and reminiscing about the bittersweet memories and feelings from such a time. The sentiment reflects the feelings of bidding farewell to something special coming to an end, similar to Pt.3 Love Letter marking the conclusion of the [PHANTASY] series.
Also included on the album is the special single “Dear.” which was released on December 6th KST last year to celebrate the sixth debut anniversary of the group.
