WATCH: RIIZE Makes Their First Comeback With “Talk Saxy” MV

On October 27th at 6 p.m. KST, RIIZE made their first comeback with the single and music video, “Talk Saxy!”

The song is a dance track that features a catchy saxophone riff combined with an intense 808 drum sound with lyrics that boldly express their curiosity toward a stranger. It was written by danke (Lalala Studio) and composed by Rice Fox, Tony Ferrari, Jurek Reunamäki, samUIL (Decade+), Tay Jasper, and Adrian McKinnon.

RIIZE is a seven-member group composed of former NCT members Shotaro and Sungchan with rookies Eunseok, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton. Their name is a combination of the words “Rise” and “Realize” which stands for their determination to become “a team that grows together and realizes dreams.”

They made their debut with “Get A Guitar” back in September and impressed the public by becoming the first boy group not from a survival show to sell over a million copies within the first week of the team’s launch.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
