Recently, Amber, well-known singer of SMTOWN‘s girl group f(x), has spoken out about her struggles under the label.
Just a couple hours ago, the idol posted a black and white picture of her forearm with the caption:
“We don’t have time for you” Every year, I would stay at home for weeks because nothing was “coming in.” Instead of waiting, for the past 5 years I’ve been writing my own songs, making my own albums, producing, directing, and/or editing my videos, making concepts and styling, writing proposals and presenting marketing plans, and even looking for my own jobs, all so that I could do what I love for my fans. Even after 5 years, I’m given the same answer. They still tell me I’m not good enough. What more do I have to do?
SM has yet to respond, but this has an all too familiar tone.
Not too long ago, a similar post of distress was uploaded by label-mate Henry from Super Junior M. As a result of that post, and urging from fans, the company took action in favor of Henry. We’ll have to wait and see if Amber’s post will have the same effect.
Hopefully everything can be resolved and Amber can get the opportunities she deserves!
