Popular Thai star Mew Suppasit continues his global music collaboration project with EXO leader and vocalist Suho on the new track, “Turn Off The Alarm”! The release follows works with South Korean artists Bumkey (“Forever Love”) and Sam Kim (“Before 4:30 (She Said)”) and British electronic pop duo HONNE (“Spaceman”).
Best known for his role in the hit Thai BL drama “TharnType,” Mew has gone on to have a hugely successful music career. The singer-songwriter is the first ever Thai artist to enter Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales Chart”!
He currently has the third-most top five hits on Billboard’s “Hot Trending Songs Chart,” an honor that he shares with Stray Kids, NCT DREAM, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen, BTS’s Jin, ENHYPEN, and J-Pop boy group BE:FIRST. This position finds him on the heels of BTS and SEVENTEEN on the chart.
Last July, Mew was in South Korea filming the Korean-Thai collaboration BL drama “Love Is Like A Cat” where he appears alongside JUST B’s Geonu and JM. During his stay in the country, he appeared on Arirang TV’s “Simply Kpop” where he was interviewed by AB6IX’s Daehwi. He later shared the stage with Bumkey for a live performance of “Forever Love.”
Mew is a producer and CEO of his own company, Mew Suppasit Studio. His first-ever project is called “The Ocean Eyes” which is a collaborative production between Thailand, China, and the US. Mew not only stars but also serves as the executive producer of the TV series along with producer Rick McCallum (“The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” and “Star Wars” prequel trilogy), producer Herbert Primig, and screenwriter Henry Gilroy (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”).
With the support of his passionate fanbase (known as “mewlions”), Mew Suppasit has become one of today’s most internationally renowned artists. The music video for “Turn Off The Alarm” with EXO’s Suho is going to be released on October 23rd at 5 p.m. ICT!
