Leo of VIXX returns with his third mini-album Piano man Op. 9 which was released on August 23rd at 6 p.m. KST!
It has been three years since the singer last graced us with a solo album (MUSE in 2019) and with his comeback, he brings with him the stellar title track, “Losing Game.”
Opening with a haunting piano arrangement, the R&B song utilizes heavy bass and minimal sounds and its lyrics express emotions from a relationship with a jilted lover. Leo wrote, composed, and arranged the song himself alongside music producer Kim Taewoo. Additionally, seasoned songwriter Jimmy Claeson participated in the composition of “Losing Game.”
The music video depicts a man hurt by love who is committed to seeing it through to the end no matter how much it hurts to do so. Piano man Op. 9 contains five songs with the VIXX vocalist working on every track as either writer, composer, or both.
