Chawon, main vocalist of boy group AWEEK, has made his solo debut with “Today Of All Days” on November 15th at 12 p.m. KST.
The ballad song from his first single album Alone was written and composed by songwriter Kim Won and 2AM’s Changmin. The rich melody reveals Chawon’s soft, pleasing vocal tone, and notable falsetto skills. It is a melodic track with lyrical string arrangements and a combination of piano and guitar which creates a unique atmosphere.
The lyrics realistically describe the emotions of longing for someone you love and reminiscing memories of them like watching a film. The gloomy music video perfectly captures the song’s mood, with Chawon’s sullen and heartbroken appearance making every lyric all the more believable.
Last year, Chawon previously recorded a solo song “Have A Nice Day” which appeared as a B-side track on AWEEK’s second single album, Better Today.
