Powerhouse girl group T-ARA have made dropped their new album Re:T-ARA on November 15th at 6 p.m. KST with double title tracks “ALL KILL” and “TIKA TAKA.”
The first track is a Western-themed hip-hop/dance-pop song written by Rocoberry and composed by Jo Youngsoo and Ahn Youngmin who have both worked with T-ARA since their debut 13 years ago.
“TIKA TAKA” blends the nostalgia of 2nd generation K-pop – which T-ARA helped pioneer – with contemporary trends and a more matured version of the group’s classic sound. The impressive song contains strong pulsating bass and an addictive melody. It was written by Colde who also helped composed the track with basecamp and Minit.
The music video for “TIKA TAKA” showcases T-ARA’s illustrious talent and strong performance. The MV features choreography created by dance crew LA CHICA, who has become more well-known through Mnet’s wildly popular dance show, “Street Woman Fighter.”
The quartet last released new music in 2017 with What’s My Name? and has spent the past four years focusing on individual activities under different companies following the group’s departure from MBK Entertainment. Despite the long hiatus as a team, the members consistently maintained that T-ARA had not disbanded and promised fans that they will definitely return.
See the fulfilment of that promise in the “TIKA TAKA” MV below!
