On October 14th at 12 p.m. KST, R&B duo JT & Marcus made their debut with their first digital single album, “Dear You.”
The song is an emotional synth-pop track with pleasant melodies and heartfelt vocal performances. It expresses the memories of a lover’s break-up and the regrets of things that went unsaid. Its lyrics contain the sincere heart of someone watching from afar, hoping the other person is happy while also wishing to meet again once more like it’s the first day you met.
Previously members of trio TREI, JT (Juntae) and Marcus (Jaejun, formerly C-CLOWN member Maru) left their company, Banana Culture Entertainment, and the group disbanded in 2020. The duo later signed with MLD Entertainment, home of girl group MOMOLAND and boy group T1419.
JT & Marcus have brought all their professional experience and solid skills to this new start, participating in the entire creative process on “Dear You” from production to lyrics, composition, and arrangement. Producers Bull$EyE and MIND182 also provided their expertise by arranging their debut song.
Opting for their vocals and the song itself to be the main attraction, the duo don’t appear in the MV. Instead, a woman played by Filipino-Argentinian actress and model Chantal Videla is seen mysteriously wandering across various scenic locations. The refreshing sound and addictive melody of the composition is perfectly matched to the breathtaking views and landscapes showcased in the video.
“Dear You” is available to listen on various music platforms and you check out the MV below!
