On August 11th, KCON announced that KCON:TACT HI 5 would be taking place from September 18th to the 26th. They decided to name it “high five” not only because this is the fifth KCON:TACT, but also because they want to convey the connection that fans can have by connecting with each other virtually, regardless of location and more.

Starting in the United States and now held in other countries like Mexico, Japan, and more, it has always drawn thousands of fans to both its conventions and concerts. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, however, KCON sought to reinvent itself so fans could still enjoy the spirit of KCON in a safe and healthy way.
KCON:TACT HI 5 will be aired in Korea through TVing, while international fans will be able to view the event through the KCON and Mnet K-pop YouTube channels.
