AKMU delights fans with more offerings off their latest album!
On August 5th KST, the duo dropped the music video for their collaboration with Choi Junghoon of JANNABI. It features a melancholic monochromatic shot of a beaten-up Chanhyuk and sings about the realization of choosing to be loved by the few people who count instead of losing yourself just to be being adored by everyone else.
Two days later, on August 7th KST, AKMU shared the music video for “Everest” which featured fellow singer, Sam Kim. A song that describes the mountain as something that appears to be looming and insurmountable, it also reminds the listener that there are those who have already conquered the seemingly impossible.
AKMU’s Next Episode is the duo’s first collaboration album and features remarkable line-up of artists consisting of Lee Sun Hee, IU, Zion.T, Beenzino, Jannabi’s Choi Junghoon, Crush, and Sam Kim. All seven tracks received their own music video with the duo pre-releasing “Battlefield (Hey kid, close your eyes)” and following it up with the title track “Nakka (Fall).” B-sides “Stupid Love Song” and “BENCH” soon followed.
This is AKMU’s first EP after dropping Sailing back in September 2019 but had previously released a digital single called “Happening” in November last year.
