VAV promises to walk with us forever in their latest song!
On May 10th at 6 p.m KST, the A Team Entertainment boy group released Always, a special farewell digital single from member Ace who is joining the military.
Aside from the title track “Always,” the single also includes solo songs by Ace entitled “Goodbye” and “Dry Flower.” Each of the three tracks were written and composed by Ace himself (with COUP D’ETAT and Mook) and contain messages from the singer to fans who have loyally supported him and VAV for a long time.
“Always” is a medium-tempo acoustic song that blends a smooth guitar performance with the sweet and soft vocal tones of the members. The heartfelt lyrics and sincere delivery create a comforting atmosphere reminiscent of a gentle spring breeze.
The first of Ace’s solo songs, appropriately titled “Goodbye,” is an attractive-sounding pop ballad combining piano and 808 bass, while showcasing the vocalist’s low voice and falsetto.
The single’s closing track “Dry Flower” is a surprising addition since many might assume VAV would stick to ballad genres and somber moods given the release’s concept. However, the electronic-heavy song is filled with synth drum and bass sounds, presenting a more sensual take to the concept of Always. The song exudes Ace’s signature charms and confidence that he has displayed since VAV’s 2015 debut by declaring a love-at-first-sight that feels so good he hopes it lasts forever.
Ace is the second VAV member to enlist. Member Baron joined the army in September of last year after the release of the group’s sixth mini-album, Made For Two. Meanwhile, VAV’s new release Always is available now on all streaming sites.
