A new girl group has joined the fray!
STAYC, a six-member team team under HIGH-UP Entertainment, made their debut on November 12th at 6 p.m. KST with a single album along with a music video for “SO BAD.”
Black Eyed Pilsung, a duo who had previously worked on artists such as TWICE and Chungha, and Jun Goon produced the girls’ first title track. Its lyrics sing about how they can’t stay away from someone who has completely captivated them.
CODE88 and Kiel Tutin, the latter known for their work with BLACKPINK and more, were the minds behind the choreography for the song while the retro-infused music video was directed by Rigend Film, a team that has also created material for names like Super Junior, NCT 127, (G)I-DLE.
The girl group’s first single is called Star To A Young Culture and features two tracks, including a B-side titled “Like This.”
STAYC is composed of Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J. They are the first artists under HIGH-UP Entertainment, a company founded by Black Eyed Pilseung in partnership with CJ E&M. A notable member of the team is actress Park Sieun, daughter of Park Namjung, who has previously acted in shows like “Mystic Pop-Up Bar” and “30 But 17.”

Katherine has been an ELF since 2010. She reads just about anything and is raising a pride of demanding cats. She recently finished TGCF and 2ha. She’ll probably get to reading SVSS and MDZS next before hunting down other novels. Can’t wait to suffer with Chu Wanning in Immortality!
