CL is back in town!
Around 10 months after she dropped her last special album, titled In The Name Of Love, the feisty idol returned on October 29th at 1 p.m. KST with two new songs, as well as a performance video for “HWA” and a visualizer for “5 STAR.”
“HWA” is a confident cheeky track track that was written by Jean Baptiste Kouame, Tokki, and Epik High’s Tablo. It was composed by Kurtis McKenzie and Dave Hamelin. Its accompanying performance video shows CL in her element, rocking her signature fierceness but still enjoying herself as she dances with her crew.
Meanwhile, “5 STAR” is a slower and more vulnerable piece that sings about always wanting more of their lover. CL co-wrote the lyrics alongside Tablo, Jean Baptiste Kouame, Koko LaRoo, and Suburban Plaza. Dave Hamelin, Darne Got It, Mutungi, Ton, and Suburban Plaza composed the music.
As part of her promotional activities for her double releases, she will perform “HWA” for the first time on CBS‘ “The Late Late James Corden Show” this October 29th at 4:37 p.m. KST.
