WATCH: D-CRUNCH Sends Shockwaves “Across The Universe” In Emphatic New MV

It’s been five months since D-CRUNCH’s last release and now the AI Grand Korea boy group has returned with the brand new mini-album, Across The Universe.

The title track of the same name dropped on October 20th at 6 p.m. KST and is a hybrid trap genre song with an attention-grabbing sound. It features a strong performance that showcases the group’s growth, maturity, and distinctive musical color.

D-CRUNCH songwriting team G.I.G, consisting of group members O.V, Hyunoh, and Hyunwook, participated in writing the lyrics.

Grammy Award-winning producer Jared Lee Gosselin who has worked with various Western hip-hop and R&B artists including Corinne Bailey Rae, Eminem, and Nicole Scherzinger makes his first venture into K-pop with this track.

He joined Kim Dohyun, a Korean producer known to be ahead of his time as a K-pop producer and someone who has worked with artists such as Lee Hyori and Shinhwa. Together, they worked with Bad Luck, who has been in charge of the work of famous EDM artists such as Lauv, Illenium, and Kygo.

The entire album features an impressive array of producers and composers from Korea and abroad throughout the four diverse songs, including blacksheep— the producer pseudonym of MAP6 and former A-Prince member soloist and producer moonc, ZigZagNote, and Lee Shinsung.

In particular, mix engineer Bob Horn— another Grammy Award winner who has been in charge of mixing BTS, TWICE, and Michael Jackson— worked on the album, in addition to master engineer Sung Jihoon who worked on PSY’s “Gangnam Style.”

Meanwhile, D-CRUNCH member Hyunwoo is absent from this comeback as reported in September due to back pain. The group has decided to reorganized themselves into an eight-member team until he returns. We wish him a safe and speedy recovery!
