The main cast of “The Moon” is ready to go!
On October 14th KST, it was revealed that actors Sol Kyung Gu and EXO‘s D.O. (who also promotes as Do Kyungsoo) would be taking on the lead roles for the upcoming science fiction film “The Moon.”
“The Moon” is set to be the next project from director Kim Yong Hwa, the director behind the hit series “Along With The Gods.” The film will follow the story of two men: one who works a lonely job on a space station on the moon and another man who works at an astronomical observatory. The two maintain contact with each other, but when an accident leaves the one man stranded in space, the other decides to rescue his friend.
Sol Kyung Gu is a veteran actor known for his numerous roles in movies like “Memoir of a Murderer” and the “Public Enemy” series. Meanwhile, EXO’s D.O. quickly went beyond his singing career to establish himself as one of the most in-demand young actors in Korea, starring in films like “Swing Kids” and dramas like “100 Days My Prince.”
The film is set to begin shooting in the first half of 2021.
