WATCH: Rapper Xitsuh Drops MV For “Shadow” Off First Full-Length Album “Spill”

K-Hip-hop artist Xitsuh, pronounced “Exit Seo” and taken from his real name Seo Myungwon as well asXitsuh” in Korean Seo Chulgu/서출구 (meaning “West Exit”), released his first full-length album Spill on August 13th KST. This was done ahead of the MV for title track, “Shadow.”

The former “Show Me The Money” and “High School Rapper” star personally produced the record. His friend and colleague leanon also participated in the writing and composition of 12 titles off album’s mammoth 16-song tracklist.

Featured on the song “CMRN” is American rapper Famous Dex who has collaborated with artists like A$AP ROCKY and Wiz Khalifa. The rapper worked with Xitsuh overseas, calling him a “Billboard top-level rapper” after listening to his English rap and lyrics.

The music video for title track “Shadow” was released on August 14th KST. Filmed in L.A, it combines the beautiful nature of the location with a new filming technique that uses 3D Scan Tracking.

Xitsuh was famous in the underground hip-hop scene for his freestyling/cypher skills as a member of crew ADV, where he and fellow crew member Olltii were labeled “freestyle kings.”

He made waves when he appeared on “Show Me The Money 4,” where he was eliminated in his main area of freestyling. Not because he wasn’t good, but because he handed his mic over to a fellow contestant who didn’t have a chance to catch it, a honorable move met with praise and respect.

Returning the following season, Xitsuh made it to the semi-finals with “Team YG” and soon after held a North American tour in the West-coast cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. In January 2018, he dropped his debut mini-album COSTUMES before taking a hiatus, signing with agency K-Tigers E&C during that time.

The rapper and vocalist has been highly active this year, releasing singles and showcasing his skills through various avenues — appearing on “The King Of Masked Singer,” competing in idol e-sports program “Game Dolympic,” and becoming the main MC of his own show “Game Manner.”

The gaming entertainment program on OGN‘s “44th Floor, Jiha Dungeon” YouTube Channel, sees Xitsuh travelling around the country finding different players of the popular multiplayer online battle arena game League Of Legends, highlighting the various methods and play styles.

Xitsuh is a diverse artist within his own lane, combining his signature soft voice and light spitting flow. His skill at writing lyrics showcases his literary background as a Brigham Young University student from Utah, USA and his strong sense of pride in rap makes itself known in every performance.

Spill is an extremely personal album, containing things that everyone can relate to. It is available now on all streaming platforms and download sites.
