On the night of August 17th, VAV‘s BaRon posted a lengthy letter on the group’s official fancafe announcing his enlistment.
In his handwritten letter, BaRon announced that he will began to fulfill his duty in the military starting on September 7th, which also happens to be the birthday of Jacob, one of his members. He apologized to fans for not being able to announce the news as soon as he received his enlistement date, but he stated that he wanted to finish concentrating on current work activities first. As such, he asked fans to anticipate the group’s upcoming album.
He also went on to talk about how he had set various goals when he was in school and how the goals are slowly being reached one by one. As he faces his upcoming 30’s, he said he is facing new thoughts and even some confusion, but that he is not afraid and is ready to face it with pleasure.
He closed by thanking fans for their support the past few years as he has been a part of VAV and for the future when he will come back as part of VAV. He asked fans to keep being with him in their shared memories, even if he has to be apart from his fandom for a while. He then closed by assuring fans of his love for them all.
BaRon (real name Choi Chunghyeop) is VAV’s main dancer, lead vocalist, and visual.
Meanwhile, it was just recently announced that VAV will be making a comeback with a new album in September.
