tvN has confirmed ASTRO‘s Eunwoo, Moon Ga Young, and Hwang In Yeob as the leads in its upcoming adaptation of the hit webtoon “True Beauty.”
“True Beauty” is based on the webtoon series of the same name which was written and illustrated by Yaongyi. The drama adaptation will be directed by Kim Sang Hyub of “The King Loves” and “Extraordinary You” fame and will be written by Lee Si Eun.
The webtoon tells the story of Lim Jugyeong (set to be played by Moon Ga Young) who uses makeup to appear beautiful on the outside due to deep insecurities within her. She meets two men Lee Soo Ho (Cha Eunwoo) and Han Seo Joon (Hwang In Yeob), eventually growing to share secrets with them and finding the true beauty within.
While Soo Ho has good grades and good looks, as well as a knack for sports, Seo Joon has a wild, chic quality to him. We’re excited to see how the dynamic between these characters pans out!
The production team of “True Beauty” has shared their eagerness to greet the audience with a refreshing romantic comedy by the second half of the year and hopes to receive lots of attention and anticipation.
