Actor Ji Chang Wook To Make Big Screen Debut In New Action Film

Actor Ji Chang Wook, star of the hit drama “The K2,” is set to make his big screen debut in a new action movie!

The actor has been cast for the lead role in “Fabricated City.” Actress Shim Eun Kyung (“Sunny,” “Miss Granny”) has been cast for the female lead.

The movie centers on a famous video gamer who is framed for raping and murdering a young high school student. After being arrested, he finds out that a large corporation is behind it all. With the help of a hacker (Shim Eun Kyung) and another avid gamer (Ahn Jae Hong of “Reply 1988”), he sets out to prove his innocence and unravel the mystery of the conspiracy.

This is Ji Chang Wook’s first starring role in a movie. The actor debuted in 2009 with small roles, but soon shot to fame and became known for his athletic or action based characters and dramas. With “Fabricated City” being a crime drama by the famous director Park Kwang Hyun, director of the immensely successful “Welcome to Dongmakgol” and the blockbuster film “Kwon Bob,” it looks like this new movie will be Ji Chang Wook’s breakout role for films.

The movie premieres in February, so stay tuned for more details!
