YG Entertainment finally launches a new group!
On August 7th at 6 p.m. KST, TREASURE revealed their debut single album and a music video for their lead track, “BOY.”
The track contains the jumbled thoughts and emotions of a someone who crosses paths with a beautiful stranger, sparking an intense romantic interest. Members Haruto and Hyunsuk wrote the rap parts while CHOICE37, HAE, Se.A, and R.Tee teamed up for its composition and lyrics.
TREASURE’s The First Step: Chapter One features two original tracks, “BOY” and “Come To Me,” along with their instrumental versions. Their debut single album comes in two physical versions, “Black” and “White.”
The group was created through YG Entertainment’s 2018 survival show, “Treasure Box.” 12 members out of 29 competitors made the final line-up and were originally scheduled to debut sometime between May and July but was pushed back to August.
