Recently, it seems as though you can’t turn on any electronic device without seeing or hearing about peel-off lip stains. From ads and reviews on Facebook, to a special section on CNN news, this trend has reached more than just the K-Beauty world. So what’s the craze about anyway? What’s gotten everyone so obsessed? Is it worth trying? And what in the actual Kpop was the inventor thinking when he/she birthed this idea? I never got the answer for that last question, but here’s what happened when I decided to pick one up and see for myself.

The lip stains are said to supply long-lasting wear without smudging or bleeding. They’re promised to be similar to lip tattoos, holding on to your lips tighter than Got7‘s Jackson did to Jinyoung during that roller coaster ride.

Great colors, as well as being able to eat and drink without leaving an incriminating trail, aren’t the only things that have gotten people buzzing about lip stains. Apparently, the application and reveal process are just as exciting.

With all that in mind, I wanted to try out a single color before I committed to the six shades that come in the bundle packs online. I’ve seen different brands at various beauty supply stores, so I just picked a color I liked and gave it a go! For this review, we used the affordable Kleancolor Peel-n-Seal With A Kiss Lip Stain.

While it goes on as easy as lip gloss, thanks to my clumsiness, I had to have Q-Tips on hand to clean up my mess. I would recommend having them anyway, just to keep the color off the wrong areas.

After about 27 minutes, my lips were finally dry to the touch. All I had to do was grab a corner and gently peel off the fleshy layer of red.

The final color came out differently from what I’d expected after watching a couple reviews, but that was a plus.

The really important questions are: how did the stain hold up when tested on a napkin, did it really last for a long period of time, and will BTS‘s Jin make it out of the jungle alive?

You can find out at least two of those answers, and catch my full review of with all the messy details and even messier dance moves here:

Although she is pretty new to the Kpop world, she is already a hardcore fan and finds more groups every day to love. No matter what though, she will always love GOT7 the most and constantly relives the moment when she was able to see them up close and personal at a hi-touch event. 1. Thanks! ^^ Here’s a link to a variety of shades for sale on ebay to give you an idea. There are 6 total color options: Petal, Flamingo, Berry Crush, Flery, Poppy & Orchid

Online they are still cheap but with shipping, it obviously adds up. Thankfully though, you can now find them in some of the local beauty supply! Let us know if you try it out! ^^

  1. I’m probably just gonna get one color too. I can’t commit to six lol. Thank goodness there’s a beauty supply store on almost every corner.

  2. ??? Jackson on that roller coaster never gets old! I can’t!. Red is always a safe color. It looks good on you!

  3. Hmmm…interesting. I heard about this a while ago and always wondered how it will hold up. Thanks for the honest review gal!

  4. That color looks really good on you. I think I’m gonna have to go buy that one! Also… the peeling was satisfying to watch.
