AB6IX’s Youngmin Caught Drunk Driving + Pulled From Group Activities

On June 4th, Brand New Music revealed that their artist Lim Youngmin was caught drunk driving on May 31st.

The label revealed a statement announcing that the AB6IX member had been out drinking with some friends and was later stopped while driving. His license was suspended and he was later released by police. Brand New Music revealed in a statement:


“Hello, this is Brand New Music.

First of all, we would like to apologize to the fans for having to bring this bad news.

We would like to inform you about the drunk driving of our artist, Lim Youngmin, and the subsequent suspension of his activities.

On May 31st, Lim Youngmin personally went out drinking with his friends and was later driving back to the dorm in his car. He was caught by police and his driver’s license was suspended.

Currently, Lim Youngmin is deeply repenting and reflecting on himself, and if there are any further investigations, he will faithfully comply with the police investigation.

In addition, starting from today, Lim Youngmin will halt all promotional activities with AB6IX. The schedules of AB6IX will be done as four members without Lim Youngmin.

In addition, AB6IX’s album, which was scheduled to be released on June 8th, will now be released on June 29th due to reorganizing the team.

We feel deeply responsible that such an incident has occurred with one of our artists.

As revealed in their statement, Brand New Music is rescheduling AB6IX’s comeback with “VIVID” to June 29th.
