Super Junior-K.R.Y. To Make Long-Awaited Comeback With First Korean Album In June

Super Junior-K.R.Y. is making their comeback!

On May 7th KST, the happy news was released through a Korean news report, revealing that the famous vocal unit is preparing for their long-awaited comeback! In fact, the trio has already completed photography for their jacket shoot and will be dropping their album in June.

The album announcement means that the unit’s release will mark their first-ever album to be released in Korea. The trio made history by becoming the first sub-unit to ever be formed in K-pop, something that’s hard to imagine K-pop without these days as many sub-units as just as famous as their main groups. However, when Super Junior-K.R.Y. made their debut in 2006, they took the K-pop world by storm. Releasing various OSTs, performing on TV, holding their own tours, releasing Japanese tracks, and more, they quickly established themselves not only as the first sub-unit in K-pop, but perhaps the most legendary one as well.

With the vocal talents of Super Junior‘s main vocalists, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung— who have been consistently ranked by professionals as some of the top vocalists in K-pop and who are also successful soloists as well— it’s not hard to see the appeal. The unit has dedicated fans around the globe, from China and Japan to Mexico and London. Although fans love the trio’s emotional ballads and amazing vocals, they’ve also proven through live performances that they’re more than capable of changing things up and being versatile through their music choices.

Super Junior-K.R.Y.’s last release was a Japanese single, entitled “Join Hands,” in 2015. After going on hiatus due to the members’ military service, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung finally reunited as a trio once more through their performance at Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Season Festival in July 2019. Following their much-hyped reunion stage, they then performed again at the Taoyuan New Year’s Eve stage in Taiwan in December 2019.

Who is excited for Super Junior-K.R.Y.’s long-awaited comeback and first Korean album?
