Get Ready For Moon Jongup’s Solo Debut By Checking Out His Recent Activities

Moon Jongup has been very active recently, and fans are over the moon!

To get ready for his upcoming solo debut that was recently announced for May, let’s take a look back at some of his latest activities.

Last November, Jongup signed with The Groove Company and announced that he was preparing for a debut with a solo album. Jongup has previously released solo songs “Now,” “Try My Luck,” and “Annoying”. He also recently featured on JunCurryAhn‘s song “REM” for the album Limbo. As fans already know, Jongup first became known as the main dancer of the group B.A.P.

At the time, his official solo debut was scheduled for March 2020, but due to the current situation, Jongup’s debut had to be pushed back. In a series of Instagram posts from The Groove Company, which Jongup then retweeted on his Twitter page, it has now been revealed that he will make his solo debut on May 7th.

In the meantime, however, Jongup certainly engaged with fans and even made some important decisions regarding his fandom name and official colors! Through a V Live event for White Day, Jongup put together two present boxes for fans who wrote interesting White Day stories. A few days after that, Jongup asked fans for suggestions for his fandom name. It was during one of these broadcasts that Jongup showed a small, quick spoiler clip from his upcoming music video.

Responses were submitted and then read aloud on a live broadcast. Just after the broadcast, Jongup had fans vote for their favorite name. In the end, Moonw4lk won. It refers to the legendary dancer, Michael Jackson, who was famous for the moonwalking dance, and how Jongup is a talented dancer as well. It also represents the fans walking with Jongup into the future together. Shortly after announcing the fandom name, Jongup released his official colors which are royal blue and black.

Last week, after all the exciting news had been announced, Jongup broadcasted a casual and laid back Instagram live where he mentioned he was preparing well for the debut and was practicing Japanese and recommended the Ghibli movie, “Howl’s Moving Castle”.

With Dalgona Coffee being the hottest trend these days, Jongup got in on the popular activity by posting a video of himself making dalgona coffee and a fresh strawberry drink. He gave the strawberry drink to an employee and the dalgona coffee to the CEO of Groove Company.
