Illionaire Records Reveals Dok2 Has Left The Company

Surprising news for fans of Korean hip-hop. Artist Dok2 has left Illionaire Records.

On February 7th KST, Illionaire Records revealed the announcement through their official Instagram account. “As of February 6th, 2020, Illionaire Records and Dok2 have decided to take different paths,” they stated. “Thank you very much for all of the love you have given to Dok2 until now. Illionaire Records wishes Dok2 the best in the future.” No further reason was provided on what prompted this decision.

What makes the news so surprising is the fact that Dok2 is the co-founder of Illionaire Records. He founded the label with fellow artist The Quiett in 2011, as well as the sub-label Ambition Musik. Illionaire Records is considered to be one of the most influential hip-hop record companies in South Korea. The company and its sub-label are home to artists like Beenzino, Changmo, Hash Swan, and more.

Meanwhile, Dok2 was just in the U.S. for his “DOK2 GONZO: US Winter Tour 2019.” Click here to see WTK’s exclusive photos of his concert in Atlanta!
