Super Junior‘s Kangin was spotted giving out food to political protesters today.
South Korea has recently been in the midst of political turmoil as the President was caught in a scandal, resulting in millions of citizens calling for her resignation. In one of the biggest political rallies the country has ever seen, people have gathered in peaceful protest at Gwanghwamun Square.
It was at this rally on December 10th that the idol singer was seen passing out food to the protesters. The Super Junior member has been living a very quiet life since his DUI accident in early 2016, making this was the first time he has been spotted out in public since the accident. Even as he handed out food though, he kept a low profile in the crowd and wore a mask the entire time. Despite this, he was recognized by some fans who asked to take a picture with him.
Since the singer’s incident, it was announced that he would be taking time to reflect on his actions. SM Entertainment, Super Junior’s label, has made no further statement about Kangin’s future as a member of the popular group.
