Unfortunate news for MYTEEN fans! The group has officially disbanded.
On August 20th, member Eunsu revealed the sad news through a post on his social media account. He revealed that after several sleepless nights of wondering what to say, he was sad to announce that as of today, the group has disbanded. He stated that he was very sorry that he couldn’t spend more time with fans and keep promises that he had made to meet them again in the future through more activities.
He went on to thank fans for their support, as well as thanking the staff at his label. He shared that he learned so much through the various experiences as a member of MYTEEN and that he was grateful for the memories they were able to make together— from training to releasing albums and more. “Taevin hyung, Chunjin, Kookheon, Junseop, Yuvin, Hanseul,” he said, “I was so happy for our together. Let’s support each other wherever we are with only good memories.”
He then went on to close the letter, “It is not the end but the beginning. To everyone who supported and loved me, even though I don’t have much to offer, you have worked hard. Thank you. I’m sorry.”
MYTEEN made their debut in 2017 before releasing a total of two mini-albums. Member Taevin left the group in December of 2018 to focus on his acting career. A few short months later, members Yuvin and Kookheon gained attention due to their outstanding talent shown through their appearance on the hit show “Produce x 101.” As such, these two members have decided to continue together as a duo.
