BTS And EXO Become Only K-pop Artists To Place On Billboard’s Year-End Charts

BTS and EXO continue doing the K-pop community proud with their accomplishments!

In the special year-end charts released annually by Billboard, both BTS and EXO were the only K-pop artists to be included! In the Year-End Top Artists Chart for 2018, BTS placed at number eight while EXO placed at number 76!

Meanwhile, BTS  also made its mark on Billboard’s Year-End Top 200 chart with their album Love Yourself: Her ranking at the 150th spot.

In addition, both BTS and EXO showed their power as the biggest international acts of the year. Between the two groups and their soloists, they took up seven of the ten spots on Billboard’s Year-End World Albums Chart, showing off the power of K-pop in the international music scene.

BTS has been enjoying a lot of success in the USA this year, especially after continued collaborations with high-profile artists like Steve Aoki and Nicki Minaj. With each collaboration they release, the tracks keep breaking records and ranking week after week on charts and radio stations. Meanwhile, BTS’s albums have also been consistently ranked at the top of Billboard’s World Albums Chart for months on end!

On the other hand, EXO enjoys a large fanbase in Asia, especially in China. EXO has the largest fancafe in China and are the most-streamed Korean artists in China this year with over 4.5 billion streams. Although they have not promoted in the USA and have produced no English-language tracks, they also make their mark on American audiences as their albums and songs consistently rank high as well. In fact, their recent comeback album “Love Shot” was the #1 album on the iTunes chart in the USA.

We congratulate both groups on their outstanding accomplishments this year!
