Terada Takuya has left CROSS GENE.
On December 10th, the group made an announcement on their official website that Takuya decided to leave the group after his contract with the company came to an end. From now on, the group will promote with the remaining four members: Shin, Sangmin, Seyoung, and Yongseok.
This isn’t the first change to the member lineup. Slightly over a year ago, member Casper announced he was leaving the group to return to his native China. The group also had another member, named J.G., who decided to leave the group in 2013 and return to China to be with his parents after the tragic and unexpected death of his sister. With the departure of Japanese member Takuya, only the Korean members of the group remain.
After the announcement, the other members released a letter to fans thanking everyone for their support and apologizing for having to announce the bad news. They expressed their support of Takuya and his decision, but they also mentioned how unfortunate it was the they would no longer all be together after seven years as a group. They then went on to promise that they would work hard in order to meet fans again soon.
Meanwhile, Takuya has also become a popular actor in films and musicals in his native Japan and is expected to work actively there.
We wish Takuya and CROSS GENE all the best as they begin new paths!
