Zico is ready to sweet the summer music scene with his new single!
On July 30th at 6 PM KST, the rapper released both the single album and music video for “SoulMate,” featuring IU.
“SoulMate” is a song about that one special partner you were meant to be with, and is inspired by a variety of genres, particularly vintage pop, soul, and R&B. The song was written, composed, and produced by Zico himself, with IU providing her trademark vocals to the sweet summer track.
The track is the title song on Zico’s second mini solo album, Television, and marks the first time the two performing artists were able to work together on a song since “Marshmallow” nine years ago.
Meanwhile, Zico is currently preparing to kick off his first solo tour “King Of The Zungle.” The tour begins with two performances at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul’s Olympic Park on August 11th and 12th. The Seoul performances will be immediately followed by the world tour portion, with promotions moving through cities all across the globe in September and October.
