Astro‘s Cha Eun Woo is ready to capture your heart in his first leading role in a drama!
After impressing viewers with his acting skills and killer smile in his last drama “The Best Hit,’’ he will now star as the leading man alongside actress Im Soo Hyang (“Criminal Minds’’) in the new JTBC drama “My ID is Gangnam Beauty.’’
The series is based on a webtoon of the same title by Gi Maeng Gi. It is about Kang Mi Rae (Im Soo Hyang) who undergoes plastic surgery after being bullied for her looks at school. After the operation, people around her begin to call her “Gangnam Beauty,’’ a term which refers to women who became beautiful by plastic surgery. The drama will revolve around Kang Mi Rae and how she gains self-esteem after meeting Do Kyung Seok (Cha Eun Woo).
Other main cast members include Jo Woo Ri and Kwak Dong Yeon.
The drama was written by Choi Soon Young, the same writer behind the hit drama “Cunning Single Lady.’’
The series will take over JTBC Fridays and Saturdays currently occupied by
Sketch.’’
