The highly anticipated film “Spy Gone North’’ has released an intense trailer ahead of its local release!
Directed and written by Yoon Jong Bin, the film follows a story of a South Korean spy named Park Suk Young (played by Hwang Jung Min) who was tasked to infiltrate North Korea to obtain information regarding the nuclear weapon plans during the mid 1990s.
The film is based on the true story of a former South Korean agent, with the code name ”Black Venus,” who infiltrated North Korea’s nuclear establishment.
Other main casts include Lee Sung Min, Cho Jin Woong and Ju Ji Hoon.
The film was selected to be shown at the 71st Cannes Film Festival last May. During its run, it garnered positive reviews and responses from both film critics and audiences.
“Spy Gone North” is expected to hit the big screen on August 9th.
