BTS has won another Billboard Music Award (BBMA)!
On May 20th, 2018, the world-famous Kpop band took home the “Top Social Artist” award at the 2018 BBMAs! The group was nominated for the award once more after winning it for the first time in 2017. After the nomination, fans (known as ARMY) took to social media to cast their votes and use hashtags to vote for BTS in the category— even setting a new world record for the most tweeted hashtag in 24 hours with over 42 million tweets.
As such, it came as no surprise that BTS was the final winner for the Top Social Artist category, humbly accepting their award and giving a shout out to their fans who were watching.
