Atlanta had the opportunity to hold another Kpop event recently! This time around, fans got the chance to participate in some Kpop Trivia!
On March 9th, a local Atlanta Cafe known as Sweet Hut hosted the event for Kpop fans. We had the opportunity of attending the event, and it was amazing to see all these dedicated fans come together for delicious food, great music, and a good time with other fans! The night started off upstairs at the Sweet Hut in Kennesaw, Georgia!
We started off the evening with BTS‘s “Mic Drop” to get the fans in the mood. As fans began to make their team names up, including creative names such as #ImACasualFanISwear, YG’s Basement Squad, and The Maknae Line, the whole crowd had an amazing night just by the team names alone! After a solid round of instruction on how to play the game and how the points work, the crowd was ready to play the game!
The first category was Multi-Fandom questions! Each round had four questions worth anywhere from 1, 3, 5, or 7 points depending on your confidence in the answer. Then at the end of the round, there was a bonus question. In between each question a song would play through which was the time duration you had to answer the question! Great new songs like MOMOLAND‘s “Bboom Bboom,” Sunmi‘s “Heroine,” and KARD‘s “Hola Hola” played throughout the evening!
As we reached the halfway point, the inevitable happened. There was a dance off for extra points! As a handful of people stood up, they played two songs for the dance off— HYUNA‘s “Babe” and MOMOLAND‘s “Bboom Bboom”!
For the start of the 3rd round after the intermission, we started with much more difficult questions! They brought nostalgic feelings as we hit 90’s Kpop round! This round gave many of the new fans some difficulties, but many of the long time fans were able to power through this round! The final category for the night was Kpop Culture!
By the end of the night, the points were announced! The prizes were given by the host cafe, Sweet Hut. First place received a $30 gift card, second place received a $20 gift card, and third place received a $10 gift card! Another fan was kind enough to give out posters to the winners and other people at the event!
