The year 2018 seems to promise us a fabulous year of Korean dramas! Just March itself is already giving us a wide selection of new dramas from different genres and featuring exciting plots, giving viewers plenty to choose from. So, for your entertainment this month, here are seven interesting dramas you should definitely watch this March!

1. “The Great Seducer”

Starting off with the most anticipated drama production this March, “The Great Seducer,” based on the French novel “Dangerous Liaisons,’’ depicts the story of a man and a woman in their twenties who played the dangerous game of love.

The drama, starring Red Velvet‘s Joy and actor Woo Do Hwan, has already generated a lot of interest with the stills that have been released so far, making fans even more curious how these young actors will portray their roles in the story.

“The Great Seducer” will begin airing on March 12th KST on MBC. Check it out below!

2. “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food”

Son Ye Jin is coming back to television for the JTBC drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.’’

Seo Joon Hee (Jung Hae In), who just came back to Korea after working abroad as a designer in a video game company, falls in love with his sister’s best friend, Yoon Jin Ah (Son Ye Jin). The older woman is a coffee shop supervisor who lives a shallow life in her 30s, thus beginning the story of how a simple acquaintance can turn into a romantic relationship.

This will be Jung Hae In’s first lead role in a drama. He rose to fame for his supporting role as a police officer in the 2017 drama “While You Were Sleeping.”

3. “That Man Oh Dal Soo”

This new drama is a unique mixture of the romantic comedy genre with sci-fi. The story is about a handsome, modern-day cupid named Oh Soo (CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun). This cupid possesses magic pollen dust that can make two people fall in love. However, his life is turned upside down when the magic pollen dust is accidentally used on himself, making him fall in love with the beautiful and hardworking police officer Seo Yoo Ri (Kim So Eun).

Fans are already excited for this pair as they both have gained a lot of attention for their solid acting skills. The drama began airing on the OCN network on March 5th.

4. “Switch: Change the World”

This drama will mark the long-awaited drama comeback of Jang Geun Suk since his drama “Jackpot’’ in 2016. He takes on two roles in this drama— one as Sa Do Chan, a swindler who at one time wanted to become a prosecutor, and Baek Joon Soo, an honorable prosecutor who sticks to the law. Jang Geun Suk will work with Han Ye Ri in this drama as she plays the role of a prosecutor named Oh Ha Ra.

The teaser already shows a lot for this legal drama, making fans even more excited for Jang Geun Suk’s comeback in this new drama.

“Switch: Change the World” premiers on March 28th on the SBS network.

5. “Good Witch”

Another anticipated comeback in television is that of Lee Da Hae. Fans have missed her since her last Korean drama “Hotel King’’ with Lee Dong Wook in 2014. She will be leading the SBS drama “Good Witch’’ alongside Ryu Soo Young (“My Father is Strange”).

Lee Da Hae takes on two roles as well. She will play twin sisters named Cha Sun Hee and Cha Do Hee. Sun Hee is married to Bong Cheon Dae (Bae Soo Bin) while Do Hee is a single flight attendant. An unexpected situation happens and Cha Sun Hee has to pretend to be her twin sister. While she is filling in, her life suddenly turns upside down when she meets the handsome pilot, Song Woo Jin (Ryu Soo Young).

“Good Witch’’ aired its first episode on March 3rd on the SBS network. This is another rom-com drama you definitely want to add to your list!

6. “A Poem A Day”

“A Poem A Day’’ follows the lives of various medical professionals, including physical therapists, nurses, doctors ,and radiology technologists.

Woo Boo Young (Lee Yoo Bi) is a physical therapist. Her first dream was to become a poet, but due to her poor family background, she studied to enter the medical field instead. The drama co-stars Lee Joon-Hyuk (“Stranger”), who plays a physical therapist who becomes the team leader at the hospital, and Jang Dong-Yoon (“School 2017”), who plays a young trainee forced into the medical field by his parents.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a medical drama, and we can’t wait for this one! The production team behind this upcoming drama is the same team who made “Drinking Solo’’ such a success. Plus, fans are also looking forward to the role that will be played by Defconn of “Weekly Idol” as he adds a comedic twist to the drama.

Though the drama is a medical one, the trailer says that it is also a romantic drama with a mix of comedy.

“A Poem A Day’ is expected to air this coming March 26th on tvN.

7. “Live”

Asian prince Lee Kwang Soo is the main lead of the new drama “Live.’’ He will be acting alongside the beautiful actress Jung Yoo Mi (“Train to Busan”).

The story will center on the lives and struggles of police officers as they fight and protect people in the name of justice.

The drama is directed by Kim Kyu Tae and written by Noh Hee Kyung, the team behind the popular dramas “It’s Okay That’s Love,’’ “That Winter Wind That Blows,” and”Dear My Friends.” As such, you be assured that the story will be an interesting one!

The trailer shows a melodramatic side of the story but the action part of the drama also promises to bring us all the feels for which we’re hoping! The drama will air its first episode on March 10th on tvN.
