JBJ (Just Be Joyful) has returned once again to show off their true colors in their newest music video for “My Flower”!
“My Flower (꽃이야)” was released on January 17th, 2018. It is a new pop track with a reggaeton hook in the refrain and tropical house influence. The song was composed by the incredible collaboration of Double Sidekick, EASTWEST and Bull$EyE, who have created such hits as SISTAR‘S “Give It To Me,” MAP6‘s “I’m Ready,” and Girl’s Generation‘s “HOOT” and “Genie”!
The music video is full of vibrant colors with a distinct color to represent each member. The choreography is fun and full of boyish charm but just smooth enough for the breakdown portion. The lyrics explain the stance of a man who falls hard for a girl close to him and ends up with a one-sided love.
JBJ was originally created through “Produce 101: Season 2″ fans’ efforts. Following the announcement of the lineup for the winning group that created Wanna One, fans took their favorite trainees from the show between the 30th and 20th place ranks and created a “fantasy” band. As the labels listened to the demand for the group, they soon came to be a reality and debuted on October 18th with the fitting title song, “Fantasy.”
“My Flower” is the title track for JBJ’s second mini-album, entitled True Colors, that was dropped on the same day as the MV.
We’re so excited to see JBJ back! Check out the music video below, then definitely let us know how you feel about it!
