On December 30th MBC announced the winners for the MBC Drama Awards 2017.
The prestigious event was organized by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation to honor actors and actresses for their hard work in MBC dramas this year. Over the past few years, MBC’s highest award (Daesang) has been determined through viewers’ votes, but this year, some changes were made and the grand prize is now determined by professionals in the industry.
This year’s grand prize was awarded to Kim Sang Joong for his role in ‘’Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People’.’ The award was presented by last year’s grand prize winner Lee Jong Suk, who was accompanied by Choi Gyu Sik.
“Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People’’ ended up being the biggest winner of the night. The show won a total of nine awards, including “’Drama of the Year’’ and “Best Scriptwriter of the Year.’’
