BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon and Taeyang will be entering the military within the next few months.
According to a statement made by YG Entertainment on December 24th, the two idols cannot delay their enlistment any further and will be receiving their enlistment dates within the first half of 2018.
As for fellow members Daesung and Seungri, who have yet to serve their mandatory military service, it has been revealed that they will be able to delay it a bit further. However, it is still uncertain whether or not they will be able to enlist together when the time comes.
The four members, sans rapper T.O.P who is currently serving, touched upon their impending military service while performing at the Tokyo Dome in November, stating that they were “very sad that [they] would not be able to meet with fans for a while” after the end of their “2017 Last Dance” tour.
It was also previously announced that Taeyang will be marrying his long-time girlfriend actress Min Hyo Rin in February 2018 after roughly four years of dating. When revealing the news to fans, Taeyang revealed his desire to register the marriage prior to his enlistment.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG is currently preparing for the final dates of their “2017 Last Dance” concert series, which will be held on December 30 – 31st in Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome.
