Nam Goong Min Considering The Lead Role For “Rebel Hong Gil Dong”

According to 935 Entertainment, the new MBC drama “Rebel Hong Gil Dong” is looking to offer its lead role to Nam Goong Min!

His agency has said that he was offered the role, but no decision has been made on his part as of yet.

The historical drama is set during the Joseon era and tells the story of a nobleman and a concubine’s son- Hong Gil Dong, a man who becomes the leader of an outlaw group after leaving home. A striking feature of this role is that Gil Dong gives money to the poor through stealing from the rich. He also forms a new nation as the king.

“Rebel Hong Gil Dong” is set for release in early 2017.

Nam Goong Min is an up-and-coming actor who gained notoriety after his compelling roles in such series as “I Can Hear Your Voice,” “The Girl Who Sees Smells” and “Remember.”
