During a press conference on November 13th for their repackage album 1-1=0 (NOTHING WITHOUT YOU), WANNA ONE revealed their participation in a Save the Children campaign.
Save the Children Fund is a non-governmental organization (NGO), a non-profit organization without government oversight or representation which can operate at the local, national, or international level. The goal of Save the Children, as stated on their website, is to “give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.” The organization does “whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.”
WANNA ONE will be participating in the Save the Children’s “Christmas Jumper Day” campaign, which helps promote the need for care and protection of children around the world. The group will also take the initiative to help foster a fun-filled donation culture.
Member Lee Daehwi explained, “We joined the campaign after thinking about how to pay back all the love we have received from so many people. We hope many people will participate with us.”
