Prison Sentences Given To Accusers Of Park Yoochun In First Sexual Assault Case

The three people involved in the first sexual assault case against Park Yoochun have been given prison sentences.

Back in June 2016, Park Yoochun was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the restroom of an adult entertainment facility. After several discrepancies in her testimony, the woman later withdrew her case. Park Yoochun then proceeded to sue the woman, her boyfriend, and her cousin for blackmail and false accusations, later resulting in the announcement of each of their prison sentences by the Supreme Court.

The accuser initially received a 20-month prison sentence and appealed the decision. She later withdrew her appeal, accepting the sentence. As for the other two parties involved, the accuser’s boyfriend, Mr. Lee, appealed his initial 18-month prison sentence. Meanwhile, Mr. Hwang, the cousin who is a known gang member, appealed his initial 24-month sentence. The Supreme Court was revealed to have rejected both their appeals.

After the women spoke to her boyfriend and cousin about having relations with Park Yoochun at her place of business, it was revealed that the three conspired against Mr. Park as a means to extort money. They were later arrested during the course of the police investigation.
