GFRIEND has returned with a lovely new track, entitled “Summer Rain”!
On September 13th KST, the music video for “Summer Rain” was released. GFRIEND made a comeback back in August with their song “Love Whisper,” a perfect track for a sweet summer. “Summer Rain,” however, is a fall track that expresses being sentimental and remembering the summer before.
The song is pulsed by a unique piano melody which is actually a sample from traditional composer Robert Schumann‘s “Liederkreis Dichterliebe op.48-1.” The music video shows each member thinking of the past while watching the lightly pattering rain from above. The dance is a lovely yet smoothly-executed series of detailed moves that continues the choreography style GFRIEND has come to be known for.
“Summer Rain” is the title track for GFRIEND’s 5th mini-album repackage, RAINBOW, which has 10 tracks in all.
