This week, the cast of “Lingerie Girls’ Generation” gathered for the first official script reading.
“Lingerie Girls’ Generation” is an upcoming youth drama based on the 2009 Kim Yong Hee novel of the same name.
The coming-of-age drama tells about the epic adventure of a group of high school girls led by Lee Jung Hee (Cosmic Girls’ Bona). She is a cheerful teenager who does not do well in her studies. Instead, she is fond of listening to pop music and spends time daydreaming. Her family owns a toy factory. One day, a transfer student named Jung Hye Joo (Chae Seo Jin) joins their class and becomes the center of attraction. The adventure begins when Lee Jung Hee becomes friends with Jung Hye Joo.
The story centers on the lives of youth and their struggle for love and friendship. The setting is in Daegu in the year 1970. It seems like the drama will bring back nostalgia feelings of old fashion trend and recalling classic Kpop songs.
Other main cast members include CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun, Min Do Hee, Seo Young Joo and Yeo Hoe Hyun.
The new drama is directed by Hong Seuk Go (“Perfect Wife’”) and written by Yoong Kyung Ah (“Ms. Perfect,” “Medical Top Team,” and “All About My Mom”).
The drama premiers on September 11th on KBS and will air every Mondays and Tuesdays at 22:00 KST.
