SHINee‘s Taemin will soon be making his solo comeback!
Recently, the singer held a Japanese comeback with Flame of Love, but SMTOWN has now confirmed the talented solo artist will be releasing a new Korean album as well. While no definite date has been announced yet, they did confirm that a new mini-album would drop sometime in August!
Meanwhile, Taemin will be holding his first solo concert in Korea on August 26th-27th. The singer recently held his first-ever solo concert at a venue in Japan and is now looking forward to meeting Korean fans for a concert there. It is expected that he will release the new mini-album right before the concert.
On July 11th KST, SMTOWN released two teaser posters for the concert. One of the black-and-white images announce the name of the concert as “Off-Sick,” while the other image shows titles of Taemin’s previous solo songs like “Sexuality” and “Press Your Number.” The teaser also gives fans a glimpse of some new song titles, including the expected “Off-Sick” track.
Taemin’s last Korean album, entitled Press It, was released in February of 2016 and went on to place #1 on Korean charts, as well as #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and #2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart. The title track, “Press Your Number” was written by mega star Bruno Mars and ended up winning four music show awards in Korea.
