PENTAGON Is Rockin’ In New “Critical Beauty” Music Video

PENTAGON has finally dropped their new music video and album!

On June 12th KST, the music video for the group’s new title track, “Critical Beauty,” was officially released. The Cube Entertainment band had been teasing this comeback for a week, so fans are ecstatic to see their boys in action once again.

The music genre and style of “Critical Beauty” is certainly a unique change from what Kpop fans are used to. With an intro that’s similar to 1950s rock-and-roll, the tune then melds into a percussion pulsed, electro-swing track. PENTAGON’s vocal and rap power carry the song well. Each member is seen in colorful, pinstripe suits, as well as other, more casual, outfits. The sets float between rundown alleyways, a colorful apartment, and a fire-fueled circus.

This is PENTAGON’s first comeback since the release of their song “Pretty Pretty” four months ago. Prior to this, members E’Dawn and Hui have been busy promoting with label-mate Hyuna in their trio project, Triple H. The two members are seen sitting together in multiple scenes of this MV, in a similar style to their Triple H promotions, as if a shout-out to the sub-project.

“Critical Beauty” is the title track off PENTAGON’s 3rd mini-album, Ceremony. It is being promoted with only nine of the ten members due to fact that member Yan An is recovering from a recent hand injury.
