Fans were heartbroken on May 23rd when they learned Starship Entertainment‘s iconic girl group SISTAR would be disbanding at the end of their current contract.
The group was supposedly negotiating their contract terms, but things seemed to have fallen through.
After the decision was announced, the label released a special clip entitled “Thank you – Good-bye SISTAR” on their YouTube channel. The short video contains a poem for fans, assuring them that this is not a goodbye and thanking them for the past years of support.
The video has a somber feeling and features the members smiling and enjoying a day on a beach together, as well as in other places like an apartment and city sidewalk.
Also in the short clip, SISTAR reveals their final comeback date to be May 31st at 6 p.m. KST with “Lonely” as their title track.
If the concept is anything like the special clip, it’s sure to be an emotional farewell.
