Hit the Stage has just come out with episode 5 featuring MONSTA X‘s Shownu, SISTAR‘s Bora, ASTRO‘s Rocky, NCT‘s Ten, Hyunseung, and BIGSTAR‘s Feeldog. The show allows for Kpop idols with professional dance crews to come together and dance to survive. Each week features a different theme and the dances must be choreographed with the theme in mind. This week’s theme was “Uniform.”
Without further ado, let’s get right to it!
First up are ASTRO’s Rocky and NCT’s Ten who showcased their skills with a range of styles, including ballet and hip-hop. You could tell Rocky and Ten were enjoying themselves with their smiles and fluid dance moves.
Rocky also appears as Jim Carrey’s character, Stanley Ipkiss, in 1994 American film The Mask through his goo-green painted face. Music played is also from the soundtrack of the movie, giving off a swing and pop rock feel, which Rocky also dances on point.
Monsta X’s Shownu also competes and performs with a remix of Javanese, Balinese and hip-hop in a shiny, pink suit and hat. Together with Animation Crew, the group demonstrates their choreography through the theme of mannequins who come alive and dance in unison.
In the meantime, Bora tries out tap dancing for the stage and draws attention through her intricate steps and ability to stay on beat with variety.
Both Hyunseung and BIGSTAR’s Feeldog went with the classic hip-hop routine, but in football attire and prisoner uniforms, respectively. The rebellion is upon us!
Without a doubt, the show exhibits the many talents and creativity of the stars. We can’t wait for the next episodes to come! Have you been watching the show? Which was your favorite performance this week?
Hit the Stage plays every Wednesday night at 11PM KST on Mnet.
