Kangin, member of the legendary boy band Super Junior, was spotted out in public for the first time since his DUI incident.
The star was seen at a baseball game for the Hanwha Eagles— no surprise since Kangin is a known baseball fanatic and a particular fan of the Hanwha Eagles. The singer even plays in a league himself.
Exactly one year ago, Kangin was in trouble for a DUI when he hit a telephone pole after drinking heavily. He left the scene, only to go to the police station later and turn himself in. His activities with Super Junior were all cancelled and his future with the group became unclear. He was fined by the court and has since held a low profile, only being photographed in public one time since then when he went to the political protests against the former South Korean president and handed out water and snacks to the protestors. Even then however, he wore a mask and baseball cap to try to hide his identity from onlookers.
Although the singer doesn’t look like his normal happy self in the recent pictures, fans are still excited to finally get a glimpse of him in public again.
After a year of reflection, could it be that SMTOWN is preparing people for his comeback with Super Junior? The group is set to make their music comeback in October of this year, so perhaps he will be rejoining them for those activities.
Meanwhile, check out the pictures below!
