9 Kpop Artists That Rocked Hanboks During Chuseok 2017

Every year, Korea celebrates Chuseok! The holiday, perhaps the biggest holiday of the entire year, is otherwise known as Mid-Autumn Festival in other parts of the world and is similar to the American Thanksgiving. Although the holiday is celebrated in other Asian countries like China, Japan, and Vietnam, it takes on its own form in both North and South Korea and is a three-day festival where people return to their hometowns and spend time with their loved ones.

One of the ways that people like to celebrate is by donning hanboks for special pictures, and Kpop idols are exactly the same. Year after year, fans are treated to pictures of their favorite celebrities wearing the beautiful and traditional Korean clothes.

The traditional women’s hanbok consists of a blouse or jacket known as jeogori. The dress or skirt portion of the outfit is called a chima, and the full outfit is often referred to as chima jeogori. Men also have their own hanboks made up of a shirt or jacket (also known as jeogori for the men) and loose-fitting pants referred to as baji.

This year, we gathered some of the cutest pictures from Kpop as both male and female idols pose in their hanboks and show off their Korean pride to their fans around the world! Check it out below.
